Free-Swimming Multi-Sensor Sphere

INSIGHT offers an innovative solution for detecting leaks and gas pockets in pressurized water and wastewater pipelines. Using an inline free-swimming device, we can identify leaks, detects gas pockets, and map pipelines in a single pass, while the line remains in service. We give pipeline operators the essential data needed to make informed decisions about asset planning, rehabilitation and management, ensuring the network’s effective performance and longevity.

Our leak and gas pocket detection technology consists of an instrumented sphere that collects a variety of condition data. The device is free-swimming. It is released into the water flow is propelled by the flow. While traversing the pipeline, the acoustic activity is recorded, which is later analyzed to report the location and relative size of leaks and pockets of gas in the pipeline.
